New York Media Firm Signs Office Lease at Row DTLA in Arts District

The company signed a lease to occupy space at Row DTLA in the Arts District in downtown Los Angeles, according to a statement by JLL, which was involved in the deal. Condé Nast previously leased office space at 6300 Wilshire Blvd. west of downtown Los Angeles.

Details about the size of Condé Nast's new Row DTLA office were not available in the statement. Two people familiar with the negotiations told CoStar News that Condé Nast was in talks to lease roughly 25,000 square feet at Row DTLA.

A Condé Nast representative did not immediately respond to a request to comment from CoStar News.

The company's media brands include Vogue, The New Yorker, Condé Nast Traveler, GQ, Glamour, Architectural Digest, Vanity Fair, Pitchfork, Wired and Bon Appétit, among others.

Condé Nast had reportedly occupied as much as 71,000 square feet at 6300 Wilshire Blvd. since 2002 when it signed a lease.

“Companies today are primarily looking for office environments with dining options, amenities and well-activated spaces that enhance its overall culture as they look to bring employees back to the office,” Jaclyn Ward, JLL managing director, said in the statement. “The vibrancy of the district’s amenities and co-tenancies, the multitude of outdoor and event spaces and ample parking, the safety of officing in a city within a city, and the opportunity to mitigate upfront capital with our pre-built spaces, are all resounding themes from each new tenant we’ve attracted.”

Row DTLA is a 32-acre, 1.4 million-square-foot property with a mix of uses. More than 300,000 square feet of office space has been leased at Row DTLA since January 2022, according to the statement. Earlier this month, law firm Umhofer, Mitchell & King LLP signed a lease to occupy roughly 4,500 square feet there, according to a statement.

Other office tenants include Revolve, HOK Group Inc., Joybird and Lendistry, according to a statement. Retail tenants include Pizzeria Bianco, Hayato, Go Get Em Tiger, Kato and Rappahannock Oyster Bar.

For the Record

JLL's Brian Niehaus and Lalo Diaz represented Condé Nast in the lease. JLL’s Jaclyn Ward, Cassie Trosclair and Sarah Hancock are overseeing office leasing at Row DTLA.
